Speakon to 1/4" Jack lead. Made up with Genuine Neutrik NL2XX-WS 2 pole Speakon connector, NYS225 1/4" Jumbo Jack plug and 1.5mm² 2 core Speaker cable 

We use Klotz LY215S cable on this lead - pure copper - 1.5 mm 2 core cable.

Neutrik makes the NL2FXX-WS Speakons with high-grade quality materials that are far better than any non-branded Speakon connector. All our connectors we use are Neutrik 100% genuine. The 1/4" Jack plug is Neutrik Rean Jumbo Jack plug which is specifically designed for loudspeaker applications. The cable used is made in Germany, so it is hard-wearing. The cable has the writing on it "Touring Grade Loud Speaker 1.5mm² Made in Germany" printed all the way along it. We selected this cable as it was the best we could find with a budget in mind. We have a rule if we wouldn't feel comfortable and confident using it ourselves then we won't sell it to our customers. Quality is the key thing we look for.

Connections are made on +1 -1 on each of the NL2FXX-WS Speakons on this lead.

This lead is designed to go between any passive speaker cabinet and a power amplifier. Connections are made on +1 -1 connections within the 2-pole NL2FX Neutrik Speakon connector.

Connections on the Jack plug tip connects to the +1 pole on the Speakon. The sleeve connects to the -1 on the Speakon. This a standard configuration that suits most applications where a passive loudspeaker is used. The cable is soldered to the solder contacts inside the Jack plug, we then heat shrink over the cable crimp grip part and the soldered connections of the connector and then screw the rear shell on. Many other cable makers do not do this!

All the components on this lead are genuine. Neutrik has improved and patented the design of the Speakon and has gone a long way to stop counterfeit Speakons from being produced. Do not be fooled into buying inferior copied versions that exist, they will break and let you down when you need them the most. Have confidence in the fact you are buying a connector that is 100% genuine and has all the Neutrik logos on the connector.

Note a passive speaker is a speaker cabinet without a built-in amplifier and is driven solely by a power amplifier.

CABLE LENGTH - Know what you are buying and paying for.

This is the visible length from the rear of the connector. After searching the internet we have noted that many sellers of leads do not specify length precisely, this may not make a lot of difference when the lead is quite long but when the lead is very short it really does make a difference. The connectors use up approximately 80mm of cable inside of them. Some sellers do not specify the thickness of the cable either.
